Upenn Alumni Interview Importance

Yesterday i had my Penn alumni interview. I responded well to all the questions that my interviewer asked me like “Why Penn?”, “why my major” etc.
but when i got my chance of asking questions, i didn’t have many questions (around 4-5) so i only managed to ask him very few and basic questions. Also my interview only went for around 35 minutes.

Does it in anyway would harm my chances of admission or would weaken my application as it may seem to the interviewer that i am not interested in the school, which by the way i am. Also how important are these alumni interviews in admission process?. Furthermore, does lack of questioning shows that i am not interested in the school?

I believe a lack of questioning will not show that you have NO interest. However, it might give the impression the school isn’t #1 on your list. What I notice is that when there is a university that students are REALLY interested in they tend to have endless, really specific questions about the school. I also hope you didn’t ask questions that could have been answers with a simple google search because that shows you didn’t do much homework on the school. On the plus side interviews have little weight unless there is a red flag. Is a sign of disinterest a red flag? I don’t know, but the interview is way too subjective to carry much weight.
