My counselor forgot to put one of my four grades on the transcript (My only A* ), so if I can’t get him to rectify it, my dream of studying at Penn may be finished.

@grayson, what did you interviewer ask you?

@Maxyend - ask your counselor to send an email with the corrected transcript to Penn and all other colleges asking them to correct it!!

Or use the optional supplement on the commonapp - that is what my counselor did after marking my rank date as 06/2011 to 12/2011 and not 06/2012 to 12/2012 on the commonapp supplement!! :)

Any International applicant get an Interview?? Anyone in India?? :P

Any idea what percentage of applicants does Penn interview??

@sanginee just the basics

basics about myself
why penn?
What will you contribute to penn?
and
what are you most proud of? I basically orated my brown supplement essay
What is your biggest dissapointment?

geez… what is your biggest disappointment? I would be clueless for that one…

@rishav17 - ahahahaha. Brown really needs to change its essays! xD HAHA, I like your style
So do I. Hi5. Infact, FIFA and WWE seems to be a favourite among me and my friends when we have nightstays or sleepovers.
And I am absolutely jealous of you. You have ISC I studied stupidass CBSE all me life. :|

ALSO, I dont really think a lot of Indians get Penn interviews. Infact, most of them dont even apply there since prestige seems to be a huge factor in applications here and most of the students seeking admissions abroad chase unis/colleges like CalTech, MIT, H,Y and P.

You are better off studying CBSE, ISC kicks you around day in day night!! :P

And I beg to differ. Atleast here in Bangalore, there is lot of interest in Penn!! And people see it as a slightly easier alternative to HYP!!

And I asked cause there is a Penn Alumni Association in India and is quite active - so I was wondering …

Haha thats true but ISC has a lot more subjects ( plus the inclusion of electives) That makes it interesting.

Well, I havent really come across anybody who has liked Penn. Even on CC, more focus is given to the above mentioned schools. Also, it is easier, BUT ONLY for those who dont need FA. Not us people :P

Yeah, I saw it. Even the Princeton Alumni Association seems pretty active :O

Yes!! But none I know who applied to Pennsylvania - have gotten an Interview yet so lets see…

And FA, WHY couldn’t Penn be need blind?? WHY??

And ISC is tough!! But I still like it over CBSE - just because it gives a sense of prestige and the fact that the English is not horrendous - as I’ve notice it to be in the CBSE text books!! :O

I dont know any one who applied to UPenn. A friend did do UCB though.

HAHA. Feel you right there. FA restricts our options so badly :|

Oh yes. I never studied for English, not even boards, never, always managed 90+ nevertheless. ISC has a somewhat international appeal to it (the option to mix and match your subjects), which CBSE lacks.

I’m like holding on that they will call me for an interview. I want one so bad. It proves that they have a somewhat interest in me…

@bunny
I don’t think that’s the case. I think Penn sends out all applicants’ contact info and what they want to study to local alumni committees who handle the interview process (at least that’s what I got from my interviewer and from what I’ve read here on cc).

@T26E4 Thanks for sharing that show! That lady is really nice :O

Btw, does anyone still have their transcripts/report listed as NOT SATISFIED in the portal? I sent it back by 20 December, but they’re still not processed. I guess I’ll give it a one more week, but I’m just curious about others lol.

^yep. Still the one thing missing.

Yup, mine too!

Hey kkakaka, Maxyend and andreaval - My transcripts not satisfied too. SO youre def. not alone :)

You have to have your mid year report in for the transcript part to be complete.

^ that makes sense, I’ve had my midyear in and it has been satisfied… I applied the 21st but my LoRs still haven’t been satisfied. Hopefully soon. Anyone else have the same prob?

Oh thanks eniloracw!
Gonna ask my counsellor to submit the mid year report asap!
Appreciate the help eniloracw. Thanks again :D
