UPenn Class of 2018 ED Applicants

Wait what email ?

I did not get an e-mail… Is that bad?

Emails are alphabetical. There’s a calculated difference of around 1/2 hour between alphabets. Letter A’s were sent at around 4, I’d expect the emails to come by tonight, or tomorrow morning.

Oh awesome. I’m later on in the alphabet. (Oh my god, thank-you so much. I had a freak-out just about now. Plus 2 weeks left just sank in)

Just checked, I got it an hour ago. SO SCARED. My last name starts with I though.

Last name M and I just got mine

Just got mine as well. Last name P

Thanks guys for updating haha

Got mine! Last name S

4.41 gpa
legacy
2140 sat
great extracurriculars
800 math sat 2
680 chem sat 2
ib diploma

what do you guys think…do i have a chance?

At this point, who knows? It’s a crap shoot. Some people will say you do, some won’t. It doesn’t matter for now. Don’t build your confidence by what people say on here. Go to bed and stop worrying.

I got an email a while ago saying that they hadn’t received my SAT scores, so I rush delivered them on the 22nd. College Board says that they were sent on the 27th. Since the Applicant Portal doesn’t work, do you think I’ll be notified whether or not they’ve received my scores?

You can always call them. They are open again now after Thanksgiving.

Do you think admissions team will accept an update on my research paper and international volunteering organization’s monthly update this late in application process? Plus, I have sent five follow ups since submitting the application so do you think this is a tad too over the top?

I would guess it’s a bit too much… Unless it something really spectacular that will make or break your application, I don’t think you should waste any more time. Just relax and wait now :)

I’ve always wondered if it is the norm to send in updates and etc… Cus I didn’t…

@grandison: yes a sixth update is extreme. I’d say you’re already on the radar – and not for a good reason either. You’ve sent four too many, IMHO.

I am just kidding guys. I am not an all 800er. Neither have I sent any follow ups. Just tried to liven up the thread and I see that it was not the best way to do so.

Grandison - you are in an anonymous forum where anything you say is treated earnestly. Please refrain from posting information that wastes everyone’s time responding to you.

If you want to make jokes to liven up the environment, feel free to do so.

@texaspg: “Please refrain from posting information that wastes everyone’s time responding to you.”

There is a possibility that someone might be trolling. When I claim a 2400, 4.0GPA, five 800s in subjects, 790 in sixth subject, research paper and international volunteering, you should at least have second thoughts about the accuracy of the info. Therefore, anything you do from there is done at your own risk. Respond to me - your decision. Your risk of wasting time. What you just said is ridiculously didactic and foolish. Everyone here seems too serious and instructive. Texas, focus more on logic, will take you a long way mate.
