UPenn Class of 2018 ED Applicants

In my mind there is only one thing: I am gonna watch Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 in Philadelphia!

@mumford is it bad that I found the Catching Fire movie boring? I didn’t dislike it but like nothing happened in it.

And with 5133 ED applicants would I be right in assume around a 23% rate of acceptance?

A good acceptance song would be: i just had sex ;p

Just watched this video… [Calvin’s Decision: University of Pennsylvania - YouTube](<a href=“Calvin's University of Pennsylvania Decision REACTION in Front of Crowd! - YouTube”>Calvin's University of Pennsylvania Decision REACTION in Front of Crowd! - YouTube)

I’m excited :P

@challengefan I know what you mean. My parents don’t seem to understand how competitive and unpredictable college applications are.
As much as I’ll hate being rejected, I think my parents will take it worse…

@absingha i really didn’t mean to be haha! Sorry if it came off that way, because my point was that I’m sure that many of the people on here have better scores than I do!

@Harrovian I am a big Jennifer Lawrence fan!

My Decision comes out on 3 45 AM: I will be in no mood to shoot my reaction video!

I am gonna set my alarm to Circle of Life in the Lion King: The music where Simba is raised by the Rafiki the monkey and I am gonna wake up gracefully from the bed and view my decision.

There’s no way I would invite that many people to be with me! I’d be too nervous about breaking down.
Just watching that video almost gave me a panic attack.

so i kind of just had an emotional breakdown in front of two of my junior friends … so i don’t think i’m ready for my rejection letter just yet …

I totally know how you feel… I’m 99% sure I’m not going to get in… But I’m not ready to face that fact yet. :(

it’s like i can already see one week into the future … :frowning: but on the bright side, has anyone gotten into their safety schools yet?

I got into Michigan State University’s Honor’s College and that’s my favorite backup  Also U Chicago just sent me an email telling me they need more info about my financial situation. So I hope that means they’re making me a package to offer me admission!

that’s awesome! i got into my state’s honor college in September and if I don’t get in anywhere else, I’m probably gonna go there. oooo that seems like a good sign  fingers crossed :D

Hey guys, i’ve been watching the thread for some time and it’s clear that you are all great and amazing people with talents. If i actually do egt into Penn I would love to meet you guys cus you seem great. I was wondering if any financial aid candidates here received an email that Penn had received all of their financial aid application materials. I’m not sure if they send it to everybody who applies for financial aid or only those who they have started to prepare packages for, which would hint at an acceptance. I know its a long shot but at this rate any type of assurance for my admission to Penn would be a Godsend.

If i got in i would probably play Nosetalgia by Pusha T or listen to Random Access Memories or Because the Internet by Childish Gambino. If i didnt get in i would play Pain by Pusha T or listen to The Weekend or some old angry Eminem

@MiltonAlex I’m most probably applying for it, but when I met Jordan (the regional admissions officer) she told me I should wait till I get in (if I get in that is) and then apply for it since the accelerated program takes very few people in every year. Are you?
For some reason there’s very less information about it online, I’ve been looking for some advice about the program myself but idk anyone who’s already in it

@CaptainChin. I received one when I submitted my documents, but it was automated. When did you receive yours? (also I am from Canada so this might make a difference)

I also got an email saying my financial aid stuff was turned in okay, and I’m from the states.
Honestly, guys, I don’t think I’ll be able to handle music in any outcome. I’ll need constant hugs if I don’t get in, and if I do, I’ll be too busy running around my house/street/school. Loooots of screaming.
6 days. We can do this!
and indie music is the best! :)

@unluckygirl…I flipped out the other day bc I got a thin envelope from my state school/ safety school. Turns out, it was just a letter saying they received my app, but it gave me a panic attack!
