So maybe the email was sent to those who didn’t complete the financial aid supp electronically? I received an email yesterday reminding me to check the decision on Monday, but that was a mass email. Ugh, why would I check if I’m just going to get rejected anyway? ):

@captainchin i got the confirmation email but it was way back at the end of october when i submitted my FA docs. you said that you sent the tax returns at the end of november (if im correct)… i have a feeling it just has to do with the timing of the FA completion, but did anyone send all their docs a while ago but just recently got an email?

@actsat2400

No, because I received that email too - and twice. Sorry for bursting your bubble.

Hey guys. I’m new to this thread but applied ED to CAS. I got an email early November saying “Thank you for submitting your Penn Financial Aid Supplement online. You will be notified by the office once all of your financial aid application documents have been completed and reviewed.” I have yet to receive this follow-up. Honestly, is this a bad sign? Thanks! You all seem really awesome and I hope we’ll see each other at Penn!

God damn you guys freak out about the smallest stuff. Literally no one on here can confirm that this financial aid email or any email in general will say if you’ll get in. Research all you want but you’ll only stress yourself out. Only one thing can tell if you’re in or not, and you can’t access it until six days from now.

@roxy481 The proof that was posted from a previous thread dates from the long gone era of admissions stuff arriving via snail mail, so I would still take this with a grain of salt, or more like a spoonful, but it appears getting an e-mail regarding missing financial aid documents in December may correlate to an acceptance. For the people who turned all their stuff in early and got a confirmation email back in November or October, we know nothing.

@chancetherapper haha I know, I ended up tracking down all the financial stuff for my family and turning it in myself because my parents were busy, so this kind of irks me.

chancetherapper you’re probably right. At this point I’m gonna try and stop caring and just wait a week to see my decision

@sonofasailor95 Yup, I’m in total agreement with you. No need to stress out about this kind of stuff people. You can spend the rest of the week stressing about your application or you can relax knowing that your part in this process is finally over. I recommend the latter.

^agreed. i love yall but CC is stressing me out too much haha, i need to stay off until the 16th

Or we could agree just NOT to talk about it! :)

im gonna get deferred anyways… why does it matter…

I’m fairly sure that not getting an e-mail is not a bad thing. But getting an e-mail (because of missing documents) is a good thing. But for all of us who aren’t missing documents don’t freak out because there is no “tip”.

And I’ve honestly never heard about this “tip” until today.

Now back to freaking out until the 16th.

@sonofasailor95 WOOH yes, you’re totally on-point (just hard not to stress about this stuff). I had a senior friend last year who warned me to not get sucked into the CC vortex—and now I know why.

@iamoym what do you mean twice? As in one today and one yesterday or one today and one from last week?

i won “most likely to succeed” and my superlative picture is tomorrow… i’ll feel like such a fraud if monday doesn’t go well…

@Harrovian

I received one on the 2nd and one on the 9th.

It said:

Duke’s also in 2 days I guess!

And Brown is in 48 hours isn’t it?
