My D got accepted to CAS. She can’t stop crying. Oh, kudos to Kelly Writers House.

I wouldn’t be too upset; at least they didn’t reject you!

Accepted to CAS and Engineering (Computer and Cognitive Science Program)

@ceyago
i hear ya. is anyone here from nc that got accepted?

Accepted to Wharton!!! (rejected from huntsman)

Me too!! Huntsman must be very very very selective…

Rejected from M&T and SEAS. I thought at least I would get into SEAS, if not M&T. Oh well.

@zandm7
I, too, was accepted to CAS.

@cercatrova Same. I thought i would atleast get SEAS but apparently not. This is really depressing.

Who else got deferred? Deferred decisions out on March 27th right?

D got deferred. Rejected from Huntsman and it went ED to Wharton from there. So, when they consider her for RD, it will be for only Wharton, right? Does anyone KNOW that process? She is not upset, expected to get rejected. Happy to be in the 25% deferred. All of her friends have been deferred from their ED schools. HYCB: seems they reject few and defer about 70%. At least with UPenn, they do reject about half.
Possible snow day tomorrow here in NE, good time to turn in those other applications!

For those of you who got accepted, it would be appreciated if you didn’t tell those who got rejected that “it’s okay”, “everything happens for a reasons”, “the door opened to many other opportunities” or anything of the sort. Those of you who were accepted don’t quite understand how the rest of us feel that didn’t get accepted to our top choice school and have been working hard for 3 and a half years for acceptance.

It plainly sounds cocky to say “sorry for all you rejects, It gets better…BTW I GOT IN WHARTON!!! SO AMAZING”.

Congratulations to all of you who got accepted, but don’t pretend to be able to empathize with everyone else who wasn’t accepted.

[Tenth Street - Valencia - YouTube](<a href=“Tenth Street - Valencia - YouTube”>Tenth Street - Valencia - YouTube) Relevant. One of my favorite songs about Philadelphia by a largely underrated, awesome band. If accepted, you might want to hear it. I’ve got it on repeat. I’m literally so happy. If not, I’m sorry, it doesn’t mean you aren’t top-notch college material! Still you might not want to listen then…

@NorthAtlantaKid - I didn’t even apply to UPenn - and I still see how uber condescending and self righteous it is for kids who were accepted to “reassure” those who were rejected. I feels ya, man.

rejected… oh well. At least I have other colleges I’ve been accepted into.

Rejected… I’m absolutely crushed. I applied ED because Penn was the school that I WANTED to be at. I can’t help but feel like I’ll always wonder what it would be like to attend…

Anyway, congrats everyone who got in.

accepted M&T.

don’t want to sugarcoat it, great applicants get rejected or deferred for stupid reasons. Grateful for being one of the lucky ones to get in. Congrats to others that got in.

For those who didn’t, buckle down and get some more apps down over break!

REJECTED FROM CAS, I WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT PENN LOOKS FOR . Forever confused. Worked amazingly hard on my essay, Varisty sports all 4 years, amazing volunteering and medical shadowing, research paper, president of 3 clubs, 33 ACT (34 superscored), top 10% gpa, but still REJECTED…not even deferred

The only thing I won’t get back (besides the $75 application fee, which, in my opinion, is well worth the investment) is my time. And for that reason, the University of Pennsylvania will forever be in my debt.

I agree, the amount of time i spent on this is lost forever and pretty much waste. Could have done something else with that much time, maybe worked on a college i was gonna get into or something
