I can't believe it! Oh my god. Who else has got the likely letter today?

I got one too! I so was not expecting it. I think I’m still in shock. Wow.

OMG ME TOO! just had a terrible day at school and then I come to this. WOW! #Class 2018

To which Penn school did each of you apply?

Did you guys get the letters by mail?

It was an email directing me to a link and I applied to the Vagelos Program, with CAS as an alternative.

thanks & congrats!

Hey I got one too!! But I got mine on the 14th.

I applied to SEAS and I thought I was a low reach.

I applied to CAS

So I likely letter for a non athelete means pretty much 100% acceptance right? Because that’s what I thought except my dad keeps on saying that it’s not, he said he called upenn and they said 80% acceptance, and I wanted to double check

@fyshyyy
you are in!!! congrats

@fyshyy I think the answer your Dad got from UPenn is the smart one. It is 100% if nothing changes in your record, but they need to hedge their bets if they get new, not as good reports, a weak mid-year, or a letter from a school saying something is up. However, if nothing changes in your app, then you are in.

I applied for the M&T program! The website ( http://www.page217.com/?p=1165) says " Penn reviews applications by undergraduate school and program, like Penn’s Coordinated Dual Degree programs, and this is reflected in the timing of our ongoing notifications.". I think yesterday was the likely notification for those who applied for the dual degree programs. What I still don’t get is, all these programs must be insanely competitive, so do all people who are accepted to the dual degree get the likely, because it must be very hard to single out just a few out of them for the likely.

Another joint degree applicant here.

Applied Vagelos here and got the likely yesterday by email.
Hoping to get a confirmation by mail.

Also hoping that razorswift is right ^^’’

got one on feb 28. i just went to a dance and was about to go to bed when i opened up my email and saw the Likely video. i asked my interviewer and told me that I got into VIPER, my top choice program. today i got the scarf, and i hope to get a confirmation by mail

At the University of Penn, if you do not receive a likely admission letter (regular decision) does this mean that you probably will not get accepted? Has anyone been accepted without receiving this letter?

^ Only the very top non-athlete applicants get a likely letter.

“This weekend, the Office of Admissions sent out about 230 nonathletic likely letters, according to Dean of Admissions Eric Furda.”
<a href=“Penn targets prospective students with likely letter campaign | The Daily Pennsylvanian”>Penn targets prospective students with likely letter campaign | The Daily Pennsylvanian;

230 likely letters, and they don’t just admit 230 freshmen! The majority of admitted applicants will not get a likely letter.
(Hopefully. I didn’t get one. :P)
