SEAS!!. All the best to everyone else who applied! :)

RD to Wharton. Good luck, everyone!

I applied to Wharton RD. I also recently was contacted by my UPenn alumni interviewer. How important will this interview be and will it be disadvantageous to me if my interviewer was in CAS and not Wharton?

I just received my interview notification. For those who are still waiting, I applied December 23rd.

So did my son. He applied cas on dec 24 th

@satman111
nope, I am not applying to penn with “Biochem” or “Chem” listed for my prospective major. It is a good program and very very beneficial in the real world but it would be supremely hard to first of all get into the program and then manage to be a premed track WHILE doing the program and do enough med related ECs. I am just hoping to get into Penn right now.

I also applied to Wharton RD and my interviewer for my interview in a few weeks just happens to be a graduate from Wharton.

@StanfordMan 1891 My interviewer was a graduate from Wharton and I applied to CAS. I don’t think it was disadventagous in any way. There are some college specific questions such as major, research opportunities, etc. but in my opinion, it might even be easier to convince someone of your passion who is not familiar with Wharton in your case (though I am quite sure Penn students are familiar with all 4 undergraduate schools).
My interviewer himself said interviews might be the least important part. If you screw up, it will hurt you. If it goes great, it is not going to significantly hurt you. For me it was a great experience anyway because my interviewer was an amazing and impressing person. Good luck! :)

*significantly help not hurt uuups

This graphic is a little daunting given the fact that I’m applying from Colorado…

@StanfordMan1891 I feel you. I am from Europe and 58 is a very low number considering how many countries Europe includes.

My D applied to Penn RD (Wharton) but has not been contacted to have an interview…is this unusual?

Does anyone know when in March the RD notifications are posted? The website just states, “March” but is it the beginning of the month, middle or end generally?

March 27, it was on my deferral letter *cries

^ roxy481 - thanks… that’s a bummer. Hope you get in.

@Cavmom: interviews are the question du jour. Do a quick search and you’ll confirm it means nothing… even if she never gets interviewed.

But if you want more info, read this (it applies to Penn, too)

thx 45. I’ll refer Penn questioners to that. I use the Brown link b/c it’s handy to me.

On the Yale forum, a paranoid said that he was offered an interview right away and is now freaking out because he’s wondering if it means they’re trying to weed out the less qualified people first! You can’t win for trying!!!

^ I hope my post wasn’t too snarky–I certainly didn’t mean it to be!

I really appreciate all of the informative advice and help you offer on the Penn forum, and I’m sure many others do, too. Not bad for a Yalie! :)

LOL: I only hold bias against one Ivy and I pinch my nose enough there to lend a hand as well!
