Reasons to attend NYU Stern:
-I know I want to do finance
-location
-better job placement?

Reasons to attend UPenn College
-I enjoy studying economics
-better university overall (law schoool, wharton, engineering, nursing)
-Ivy League
-has a campus

I'm seriously split between these two schools. 50% of the people i talk to recommend either upenn or nyu stern. Can you guys help me decide?

I'm a strict proponent of the college experience. Academics is a part of that, but it's also about the things outside of that. In that regard, I would choose Penn. Personally, I had to choose between applying to the college and Wharton, and I decided to apply to Wharton (again) because I didn't think I could handle being in the college with Wharton right next door. At the College, you could take classes in Wharton though. If you're interested in Finance, you could take classes in math and economics to get ready for a finance career. I think the overall experience at these two schools is totally different and that's something that you're going to have to evaluate.

UPenn...has long history of reputation. NYU's is much newer, and i believe at this point carries less weight. ( i know i'll get screamed at) but UPenn carries more weight.

Carries more weight where? NYU Stern is a top five business school and for Finance it's amazing! It's right down the street from the bull. Yes, UPenn has a long history, but Stern has built its reputation with its location and its academics.
