so please see if I have chance for Upenn ED(NOT Wharton; Arts&Science) and:
UC Berkeley
UCLA
NYU Stern
Columbia
Washington University in St.Louis
(I haven't finalized the list yet)

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

i forgot to add my class rank.
class rank: 1/740

You get a weighted GPA if you took AP/honors… i dun think u took any aps yet so u dun have a weighted gpa

Ivies like Upenn and Columbia are almost impossible to chance… You can’t really predict them. Your stats are impressive though and I’m almost certain the other schools will accept you.

My opinion is that your chance at UPenn is better than you might think - be sure to apply ED – CAS is a good fit for you! Best of luck and get ready for that acceptance letter in December!

Solid chances, although music-related ECs are very common, especially among Asians.

Not at all true, especially of penn.

You would need to raise your CR score a minimum of 130 points to be in the running at Penn. Great rank in a large class, but the CR score is key. Without a major rise, the UCs will be your best bet.

Are you Asian? Whats your race/sex?
I think you have a good shot at UPenn, the SAT score is a little on the low side, but as you know, your GPA/ECs are great. You’ll have to write reallyyy good essays though, and explain specificially why you want to go there. Good luck!

I think it’s a little bit weak for penn.

I am a sophomore going into junior year, and i want to see what kind of colleges i should be preparing for. Some of the scores like the SAT and PSAt are predicted from the practice tests that i have taken.

I live in New Jersey and attend VERY competitive small public school (33% asian…) At one point school was ranked #1 public school in NJ (about 3-4 years ago). This year we sent 3 or 4 seniors to princeton and a bunch to all the Ivies (except stanford…they dont seem to like my school).

Sex/Race: Male/Asian

GPA: 3.72 U about 4.2 W
SAT [Prediction]: 2250 will probably get high 700s for math and mid to low for CR and Writing
SAT II: 770 chem. will be taking SAT II chinese and USH
AP: Chem 5
Schedule:
9th
World History A
Orchestra A
Geometry HNS B (doh…i should have gotten A but i slept in class)

Algebra 2 honors A
AP chemistry (got credit for chem over summer) B (doh)

Extra bit: my private fencing coach is now the head coach of Upenn. my High school fencing coach is a upenn alum. I will get 1 or both for recommendation.
