@sajeunesse she only offered an interview over FaceTime because she lives in Chicago and I live in Minneapolis! I don’t think it negatively impacted my chances at all. According to the Penn website, “Interviews may be offered in-person or virtually. Penn Admissions evaluates both types of interviews equally.”
Some of the questions:
Tell me about yourself. How do you spend your time outside of school?
How do you feel about living in urban Philadelphia?
She made most of the questions really personal; I’m involved in choir so she asked me about that and if I planned to continue it at Penn.
Don’t be nervous! I was super nervous as well but as soon as I started talking to her I calmed down. Just remember, they want you to succeed and genuinely want to get to know you!
@sajeunesse Surprisingly not at all! I asked a lot of questions - a few about nursing specifically and then others like what her favorite class was, any favorite Penn traditions, and if she felt that Penn offered good career services.
Just got my interview invite. Was wondering, what was the dress code for those of you who took it? I’m a dude so should I go with an urban look (jeans, dress shoes, sweater, etc.) or a classy look (slacks, dress shirt w/o tie, dress shoes). Any advice?
I submitted my application Sept 30th; however, I have yet to receive an email for an interview. If I have yet to receive one in a month, does it mean I won’t get one?
Just curious, for the people who’ve gotten email interview requests, were the emails sent from the Penn Alumni Association? I’m only asking because there’s a small chance that it might get caught by the spam filter and I want to make sure to white list the address if that’s the case.
I have a quick question about the Penn Financial Aid Supplement. For question #4 asking about estimated resources and your family’s contribution towards your education, is this for all 4 years? Like should the total be the estimated amount paid for all 4 years or just 1 year.
hey guys! I’m doing the IB and I decided to change one of my SLs to Higher Level.
Should I call Penn admissions and tell them? Or will they just see it on my 7th semester transcript?
How does it work?
I have a question! If I am a twin (I am a girl and have a twin brother) and we have the same scores and grades and are both applying ED, does that help my chances? Thx! Also might help that we’re from Philly.
