I applied ED for nursing. Anyone else for nursing? I’m hoping to get an interview but haven’t heard anything yet.
how long did your guys’ interview last? mine was like 1.4 hours…
^that is quite long I think. I interview candidates and I always try to keep it within 30-40 mins max.
just finished and mine was about that long as well. Was yours pretty conversational/ casual? I think that’s why mine lasted so long
Does anyone know how big of an impact legacy status has? My grandfather was Wharton undergrad& grad but I applied to the college– will that have any impact on my application?
@tryingtodecide22 legacy is huge at Penn especially if you applied ED. It’ll help you a lot, as long as all other parts of your application aren’t horrible.
@Yccccccc I submitted my app the day of the deadline so Nov 1.
@tryingtodecide22 No it doesn’t matter. Your grandfather is a Penn grad that is what matters. Legacy gives a nice bump during ED. Of course not all legacies are created equal. Those legacies with a big donation history have a bigger bump. Also kids who are like 5th-6th+ generation legacies (yes those do exist) are not viewed the same as 1st gen ones.

I had my interview yesterday and it was almost an hour and a half as well… super casual conversation about so many things both related and unrelated to college/penn. I think it was pretty enjoyable!
Does anyone know whether we need to send the 1st quarter transcript of senior year to UPenn for ED? I didn’t see that requirement on portal nor on the official website, but students at my school who ED Penn last year said that they submitted their in-progress transcript. That’s terrifying to me…
