<p>oh here's another thing you guys will like i'm sure. This kid in my grade is like "I'm not trying to brag or anything, but I can get into pretty much any college, including the Ivys." He's applying to all Ivys and some other really hard ones...</p>
<p>with SATs in the 1100's
and a 3.2 gpa. on a 4.3 scale.</p>
<p>he has barely any extracurrics...he works at American Eagle a lot, drives a yellow mustang, and hangs out mostly with people he meets on MySpace.</p>
<p>Enough people like him and we might actually all have a chance!</p>
<p>there's some obnoxious's arrogant people out there. i was in new york over the summer and there was this girl who EA to Harvard, got deferred, applied to Huntsman and got in and then got into HArvard also. So you'd think she'd go to harvard, but no, she's in huntsman now b/c "hmph, harvard didn't accept me EA, so i'm going to spite them". gah, makes me so mad, people like her who's taking spots of ppl who actually want to be at penn</p>

<p>which is good. i'd like to be dead before The Decision or else I'll just plain die of shame.</p>
<p>but also of course there are people like me applying to Yale. I really don't think I have a shot but it's just for the hell of it...you know...you def. won't get in if you don't apply and all that, but thinking "there's a tiny chance they'll listen to my audio tape and like it and let me in." So combine REALISTIC people who know they don't have a shot with DELUDED people who DO think they have a shot, and it's slightly comforting...</p>
<p>oh and also...some people will apply early b/c they think it gives them a better shot. the kids with lower credentials that want to show school-loyalty by going ED that don't get in because, well, they don't have the credentials lol.</p>
<p>hmmmm oy. 9 days... 21 hours... 42 minutes... 50 seconds until D- Day</p>
