wow...to think...December 2nd, 2005...some of us will have been at Penn for 2 months and some not...

dun dun dun..

ya. hopefully by this time next year. i would be a Quaker

dont worry... were all gonna be quakers in 8 days!

Holy cow kids! You guys are still here! Dec. 02...omg...breathe in deep...phhhhhhhhh... I seriously think I might get a cardiac arrest come Dec. 10..

don't worry catch...

i broke into the penn admissions building today... and i looked in the acceptence pile..

and the one on top was from an asian girl in pheonix!!

i made that story up.

ANd I was all excited! lol. If you do't get accepted CHocoman, I'll personally buy a ticket and fly to Philly and break in the admissions office and throw your app into the acceptance pile...:)

8 days, 8 hours, 11 minutes, and 54 seconds left until Penn decisions come out

...and counting...

I hope to see you all in september good luck!!! I remember being in your position last year. Again good luck!

ahhhh!!! 8 days!!!

so say we all get accepted. are we going to leave the forums indefinitely? or will the kids that got deferred, the kids that got accepted, and the kids that got rejected suddenly form long-lasting bonds?

if we get accepted we all have to meet sometime during orientation week at cereality. IF they're still in business.

i'm also determined to make the gap between Yale and Penn only 1000 by today...by myself, if that's what's necessary lol

If you feel like you're missing something or if youre just paranoid call the regional office for your area, they can check everything-grades, new scores etc. I did. Might want to do it soon, I just checked to see if they received my optional first quarter grades.

that's actually a very good idea popo. you rock.

i was on the Princeton boards looking for that thread where they laugh at how far behind all the over Ivys are post-wise. and found this:

"Hi, this by no means is a comprehensive assessment of academic achievements and ECs. This is just a formula to see where we are in terms of class rank, test sccores, and GPA.

Take your SAT I highest verbal and math and add them.

Take your theree highest SAT2 scores and add them.

Add answers to 1 and 2. Then divide by 50.

If you are ranked in the top 1% of your class, add 10.
If you are ranked in the top 5% of your class, add 7.
If you are ranked in the top 10% of your class, add 5.
Dont add anything if you rank outside 10%.

If your unweighted cum. GPA is 4.00, add 10.
If your unweighted cum. GPA is 3.80-3.99, add 7.
If your unweighted cum. GPA is 3.6-3.79, add 5.
If your unweighted cum. GPA is below 3.6, dont add anything.

A perfect score is a 100. You have a good chance if your score is 85 and above. Remember, this is only test scores, gpa, and class rank. Obviously EC, essays, etc, matter too. but try it anyway. "

let's try it! should be fun. i just BARELY make it...86.2 :-/

ya. saw that too.

i got something like 88?

yeah idk.. we don't rank. top 1% iii have no idea quite honestly... i'm def top 5% tho.. mmmm i got an 88.2 =/ that's okay, it's my favorite number (8) and .. some1 i know's favorite number (2).... o.0

ok heres the deal...i applied early ED to the college at Penn...there are 4 other kids in my school applying early and everyone tells me that I am definitely going to get in and have the best chance out of the 5 OF us. Everyone telling me this has made me way too overconfident and I think that if I get rejected I'm going to be upset just because of the mere shock that I didn't get in. I really don't think I'm a lock but everyone telling me this has messed with my mind (I'm sorry if this seems really ****y). So I am going to post my stats here and I was wondering if you guys can tell me why I WILL NOT get into Penn lol...It will really help me brace for the worst...Thanks and here they are:

I'm a white Jewish male who goes to high school in PA about an hour north of Penn....so thats it now tell me why I WONT GET IN

oo i'm impressed for ur paper
high five pres of FHS here too

ur not gonna get in because there's nothing completely outstanding
everyone is well rounded and has good sat scores, and people who have great, perfect sat scores get rejected. your friends are just being nice, you're not valedictorian.. penn is about stats, and if you're not good looking and sent your pic you definitely will not get in.

=P i'm kidding. nobody ever knows, sp. nobody knows.

aw, but no, really... look around the penn boards at other stats. that gets me down all the time

91.8 ...if i did it right?

89.4.... not bad...

were less than 1100 posts behind those damn Yalies now.

must pass them by the 10th...
