UPenn ED vs. Cornell ED, help this indian dude out

Gender: M
Race: Indian
Location: suburban NJ (HS ranked 4th statewide recently)
SAT: 2370 (800 M, 770 CR, 800 W), 1 sitting, not superscored

-SAT IIs: 800 Chem, 800 US History, 800 Bio, 800 Math II, 800 World History, 800 physics
-GPA: 95.51 weighted, 4.1/4.0, top 10%, school doesn't rank

APs
-Chem 5
-Bio 5
-Stat 5
-US Hist 5
-Calc AB 5
English Lang 5
-I guess I would be "AP Scholar with Distinction", I know it doesn't mean much

Senior Year APs
-Calc BC, Physics C, English Lit, Gov + politics, Econ

-ECs: 4 year wreslter, senior year varsity (this will not show on an ED app) JV sportsmanship award, no great awards/hooks

-300hrs comm. service at local hospital (volunteered senior year in ER),
-3 yr Model UN and Youth and Government member

-spent summer between jr + sr yrs in EMT class (120 hrs class) + will be EMT for 3 months before applying ED to any school (12 hrs/week commitment)
-summer jobs as lifegaurd (summer before sr year), 10 hrs/wk

Would my chances be better at Cornell ED or UPenn ED or about the same (note: I would apply to college of arts and sciences at both schools)

Appreciate some feedback. Thanks

You have a very good chance at both. The kids who got into Cornell did not have that good grades and good test scores as you did, but they did have better ECs than you. But I do think that your ECs are already good. All you ahve to do is work on the essays and ask teachers to write good recs.

Chance me back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/741170-chance-me-new-info-new-schools.html

damn! first off congrats on everything you have accomplished.
6 perfect SAT subject tests. yup
near perfect SAT I score. yup
URM. yup
rigorous high school course load. yup
play a sport for your high school. yup
tons of volunteering in the community. yup

i think you are a good match for both schools. whichever you think is better, apply there ED. if you write some great essays and get good teacher recs, i’d be shocked if you got rejected from either.

sportsguy5, he isn’t a URM. Many Indians apply and get accepted to UPenn and Cornell.

But, you seem to be a good match still to those schools. Great SAT and SAT Subject Test scores and also a great GPA.

And nice, you play a sport that most other Indians don’t, wresting! I should know, I am Indian…

any more replies? Thanks to all those who have responded but I have the feeling that UPenn ED (CAS) would be harder to get into. Am I right?

About the same.

buuuuuuuuuuuuuuump
