Hi!
I was just accepted into UPenn for engineering as a transfer. My main issue with my current school was the lack of project experience and the general attitudes toward academics (kids are incredibly, scary smart here, but they don’t really care for discussions about what they’re learning or deeply understanding what they learn; it’s just all about grades). What are those two things like at Penn Engineering?

I think Penn students get a good balance of theory and practice. Theory is worthless if you can’t do it in practice.
Grades should not be the top priority. Being active in clubs, participating in out of class projects, seeing speakers, social skills are all important too.
