OK so I sent the fee waiver request for Penn like 3 or 4 weeks ago but they still haven't mailed me back on whether they accepted it or not?
Should I just pay
or
should I just wait to call them, but risk not getting reviewed as they don't return until January 2 the day after the regular decision deadline....

I think if they don’t contact you, it’s been accepted

Anybody got more opinions on this?

I’m kind of worried about this as well. I sent mine around the same time and have not recieved any sort of confirmation. Hopefully they will update the portal after the office opens back up from winter break.

Also, did anybody else use Expanding College Opportunities wavers??

I sent mine about a week before the deadline. On the portal, it said “not satisfied.” So I waited a while, but then, today, it changed to “not paid.” Should I e-mail them? I would have to wait until Tuesday to call.

It’s in your interest to pay the $75 fee than wait till the last minute.Depending on the amount applications, they may not be able to get to all of them in time.

I sent in my fee waiver Jan 1st and on the 8th I received this email:

Dear X,

I am pleased to tell you that we are waiving the $75.00 application fee. The information contained in your Request for Waiver of Application Fee indicates that such an exemption is warranted.

For updates on your application status, please check your MyPenn Applicant Portal at www.admissions.upenn.edu/applicant/MyPenn.
