UPenn/Huntsman Program

I’ve seen a lot of featured student profiles on the Huntsman program but all of their biographies have insane stuff like starting a nonprofit and million-dollar businesses. I’m wondering if my stats are the norm or if I need to add more things to my resume…

Please look it over and tell me what you guys think.
By the way, I know that it’s definitely a reach school for me.

Little chance. Huntsman is harder to get in than Wharton.

GPA good enough but SAT likely needs to be higher and/or I’d shoot for a 33-34 on ACT instead of that 32-34 range. Given that Huntsman is mix of biz and intl studies, where’s your evidence of interest in things international or cultural or? Your activities are interesting but not necessarily terribly unique.

Reminder that Huntsman takes appx only 35-37 students / year. I’ll round it up to 40…appx 1/2 male and 1/2 female…then appx 1/2 international and 1/2 US. So, regardless of your stats, activities, essays you’ll only have open to you 10 spots (probably more like 9) in your demographic.

Ask yourself how you’ll stand out in your 10-slot demographic compared to the other 150-250 students in your same demographic that apply.

P.S. Reminder that you can always apply to Huntsman or another Penn dual degree program and on your application also check the box to, secondarily, be considered for admission to one of Penn’s single degree programs if your Huntsman app isn’t successful. Two bites at the apple instead of one effectively.
