I just got an email this morning from my Penn interviewer. As the director of admission for a medical school, he's exceptionally busy and his secretary set me up for a March 26 interview. I wanted to laugh. Really? I went ahead to call Penn's undergraduate office and the response I got is: "If it gets here on time, we will be sure to look at it. Also, the interview doesn't weigh much in the admission process. It's merely a courtesy to you and a chance for you to know us better." Has anyone else encountered this? I'm not worried; it just seems a little weird/absurd that my college interview is little more than a week before the decision release date.
I think I'm just gonna go enjoy myself at the interview. : ) It's not everyday that you get an interview with a med school admission dean.

A little less than a week before you mean. And yeah that's weird. Hey, if you're into going pre-med, this could be a pretty sweet hook-up for the future. If not, I would blow it off haha

lol they didnt even contact me for an interview. but ya i would love to be interviewed by the med school dean of admissions since i wanna go med

tongchen

I am in New Orleans and I got the same e-mail...my interview is March 13....I seriously doubt it will have any affect if it gets to UPenn so late...I am a bit upset that I didn't get one soon b/c I love Penn but it's nice to get anything at all!
