What would be the better choice if im interested in eventually pursuing a start-up tech company. Want to stay on the engineering side and pursue graduate school possibly after a few years in the work force (will the strength of UPenn engineering hurt me in this respect?), but i think the Wharton degree from M&T would definitely help with my future goals, networking, and job prospects. Any advice? BTW I definitely do not want to do ibanking, investing, or any of that "wall street" stuff.

I’m a sophomore M&T right now.

The academic strength of UPenn engineering won’t hurt you though it might not sound as impressive. You can always submatriculate and get both bachelors and a masters in 5 years (depending on your AP credits).

The Wharton degree will help you build connections and develop strategic thinking which would help with your start-up. You are only required to take one introductory “finance” course as a Wharton student. The M&T program was designed to prepare students for tech companies and the two M&T-specific classes offered deal with strategic innovation management and hands-on experience working with a start-up (NDAs and everything).

Hope this helps.
