A bunch of us have been creating threads asking specific questions about UPenn, but the group for 2006 seemed to be pretty efficient at keeping everybody up to date on progress of admissions and at answering questions so i figured why not have an official thread so we can keep this organized. Feel free to put up stats.

wow thats a ****load of APs... Penn apparantly will only accept euro and chem for me... i can understand why no 4 on US hist, but why not a 5 on US gov....

how is bowdoin? I have a friend who goes to Bates he seems to enjoy it.

You guys might not know because I think it seems like you are trying to transfer with sophmore standing, but does Penn require paperwork from your guidance counselor in hs if you're trying to transfer to Penn to begin as a junior? Or do they just want your official transcript and that's it?

Im pretty sure they want it sent from your college advisor as opposed to you hs guidance counsulor. Where are you transferring from, out of curiosity?

I would be transferring from Syracuse. I guess I should clarify my question to if Penn requires my high school guidance counselor\advisor needing to fill out paperwork as part of what Penn requires? Or if I can just go to my high school and get my official transcript sent directly to Penn without having to get paperwork done from my counselor?

I'm no authority on this and the Penn admissions people would probably be the best ones to ask BUT I'm pretty sure they just want your high school transcript.

Im pretty sure you dont have to do it through the highschool, but i think its a lot easier if you just have your counselor do it. Someone has to send it in, and they have everything organized.
