UPenn or NYU?

Thanks in advance. This forum really helps me a lot during my application.

I have got admitted by UPenn and NYU's Computer Science Master programs so far and want to work for financial companies after graduation. Both of these two schools have good reputations and curriculums. However, I do not know clearly which one is better for my career goal.

UPenn's Advantages Compared with NYU:
1. computer science program ranks top20.
2. MS students can choose finance track and register classes at Wharton.
3. Ivy. I have no idea whether investment banks prefer ivy graduates.

UPenn's Disadvantages Compared with NYU:
Not in NYC.

I have viewed the placement and internship reports of UPenn CS Master Program. It seems that many of their graduates go to IBs and consulting services in NYC. However, I can't find placement statistics of NYU's program.

I have not lived in NYC or Pennsylvania before, and do not know how the local people and companies think about these two universities.

Is UPenn better than NYU if I finally want to pursue a MBA degree after working for 5 or more years?

Thank you for reading this LONG post and any advice is highly appreciated.

I had a quick question. I got into UPenn's MS for biomedical engineering, and have never heard of the finance track. Is this available to engineering master's students as well? If so, do you know where/who I could contact to inquire about it? Thanks

go to Penn. There's a BIG difference between Penn and NYU. As an alum, I know that all the top financial firms on Wall Street recruit at Penn first every year before they go to any other school. All students at Penn can apply for investment banking jobs. Half of Wall Street is from Penn and most of the other half is from Harvard.

Half of wall street? Are you sure?

it's just a hyperbole...

GradHopeful1, I am not sure whether the biomedical engineering program has this option. The following link may be helpful for you.
