Thank you in advance!

Just get your ACT up to a 33 and I’m sure you’ll be a strong candidate for any university. Being a Columbia Legacy might help a little too.

Yeah, I agree. You have very good ECs but getting your ACT scores up will definitely help

If you speak Spanish (which I’m guessing you do since you’re in SHS) you should apply it to other aspects of your ECs

While I interned at the Humanities Council, I worked in organizing literacy events which usually benefitted Spanish speakers. There aren’t a lot of opportunities to speak Spanish but I definitely want to apply it to my work. Thank you!

Don’t overlook the best importance of your essay. Your portfolio is impressive bu I don’t get a sense of what you really care about and what you add to a class that some other high stat, very involved student brings as well.

Take the time to think about what you want to stress. You have so many activities. What’s important to you? What story do you want the overall application to say about you, your activities and your interests?

Get your ACT up and you should have as good of chance as anyone! Good luck!

Thank you. I will be starting my essays soon, and I will be sure to remember your comment. I can understand how my activities seem discombobulated. I hope to pursue a major/career related to social entrepreneurism, which is why I am active in UNICEF, MUN(to increase my knowledge of pressing social topics and international laws), and Spanish Honor Society/ Humanities council/tutoring (I hope to increase literacy and increase cultural understanding in my community).

You need to pick up your ACT for those schools for sure. Legacy might make a difference and your ECs are great. Try to pick up your ACT

Yeah, I’ll be taking the SAT and ACT (hopefully both for the last time) and I’m going to try to increase as much as I can. I’ve been able to increase 120 point each time on the SAT and 2/3 points on the ACT

Pretty normal application. Nothing seems to stand out. Your ECs are generic and repetitive. But with great essays, you’d have like a 40-60% chance at those schools. Good luck

Thanks

You’re are extremely qualified and I’m sure you will get into to at least one. However Ivy League admissions are basically a crapshoot because everyone is highly qualified. If you could raise the ACT by 1-2 points you will have a good shot for all because you’re extracurricular are amazing.

Thank you. If there is anything else that I can do, please comment
