Did Penn send out any likelies this year. Also, do they send out only academic and athletic likely letters, or do they do diversity ones as well
so far I have not see anyone in any online platform get likely letters.
yeah, me neither. I don’t think they did like last year because they’re already tackling massive numbers of apps
They rarely send out liklies to non-nursing applicants or athletes
anyone applied to Wharton here? just curious
yeah i got deferred from huntsman test optional first gen urm
My son did- not expecting to get in though… got into Notre Dame and very excited about it.
How many people here got an interview? Almost all?
From their website:
Typically, more than 90% of applicants are offered an interview, depending on volunteer availability. Our interviewers aren’t admissions officers, but they are excited to learn more about you and to share their Penn experiences.
so to answer your question… yes almost all
My child did not interview.
My son didn’t interview either…
I did. Maybe some didn’t because they didn’t need more info or there simply weren’t enough alumni in that area willing to. Don’t worry if you did not.
My daughter had an interview, but it was late in the game (early March I believe). It was her last interview. We live in the Philadelphia suburbs so you would think there were be a lot of alumni around here… but her interviewer was in Tennessee!
You cannot rely on that-- this year, sooo many people applied that probably less than 90% got interviews. If I’m not mistaken, most (if not all) top colleges said that interviewees are not pre-screened and is based only on location (maybe with the exception of Yale idk). So hopefully you shouldn’t worry since the interview allocation is based on location and availability-- not merit.
I applied for RD and got an interview back in December. Maybe because I lived in the urban area and there are more alumni.
That cracks me up, but must’ve been an interesting one.
One of my daughters I recall 2 years ago had an alumni interviewer for Michigan that was living in New Orleans, yet we are from Chicago and there is a HUGE (understatement) alumni base here so it was odd. The guy was a great marketer for Michigan that when she chose elsewhere she actually felt guilty, lol and reached out to him to let him know she decided on a different school. This guy was a gem for them.
oh cool, best of luck!
Thanks. Same to you!
Does anyone know how many ED applicants got deferred/if they have an edge on RD admissions?
Deferred applicants have no edge in RD
