Can someone explain to me the Civic Scholars program? What are the benefits of being a part of that program?
has anyone (who was missing documents) gotten their aid yet?
Dear parents - our oldest will attend UPenn class of 2025 this fall. We are trying to understand if the parents/family are expected to be around the week of orientation (8/25 onwards). Do the students stay with parents or do they stay in their dorms during the week? Can we be there for the first day of college (8/25)? When do parents usually leave?
We are trying to book our stay and need help figuring out.
Congratulations to your child and welcome to the Penn family! New Student Orientation (NSO) is a weeklong bonding session for the freshman class and parents are not expected to stay for NSO. NSO doesn’t begin until after move-in so students live in their dorms for that week. There will be a family picnic at the end of the move-in period after which parents say their good-byes and leave their children to bond with their classmates. We stayed in town a few days after move-in but never saw our child after the family picnic as she was too busy having fun with her hallmates.
I believe there is some optional NSO parent programming but, as this was our second child off to college, it was not of interest to us.
Dear @mountainsoul - Thank You so much for the response. I really appreciate it. We do plan to stay on for a couple of days after move-in too so were not sure what to expect.
Hii. Could you talk a bit about your application? That’s amazingggggg
