UPenn RD 2025

thank you!

thanks!

No prob! If that number doesn’t pick up, you can also call 215-898-7234 and ask for Matt. I’d have my social security and PennID numbers handy.

I think it’s awesome that so many parents are doing all they can to make sure each of their kids gets to the schools they really want. :goat: :goat: :goat: :evergreen_tree:

Called and sure enough they were missing financial documents (once that I have already submitted) I resubmitted the form and I am hoping that they receive them so that I can get my financial package with my decision…there’s not too much time to decide where to go. She said to call back on Wed to make sure they received it. I can’t believe there isn’t any easier way to check the status…no checklist…no email…nothing.

Thank you again for the help!

Meeeee

waitlisted from Johns Hopkins and Colgate, there’s no way I get into UPenn ://

Is showing interest by attending virtual meeting makes difference in the decision?

Penn does not consider demonstrated interest when reviewing applications for admission

really? according to their common data set from previous cycles they do to an extent…

Also, I spoke with the director of my prospective major and she said it was good that I reached out to her (instead of her to me) and attended several info sessions so even if they say it doesn’t, it probably doesn’t hurt if you truly want to go there…

heres the link that Penn published for their 2019-2020 common data set:

https://www.upenn.edu/ir/Common%20Data%20Set/UPenn-Common-Data-Set-2019-20.pdf?pdf=CDS%202019-20

if you press ctrl+f and type “interest”, you’ll see that it is marked as considered.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, maybe they’ve changed it since then but this wasn’t like 10 years ago, it was last May that they published this

When we attended in info session, the AO specifically said they do not track interest. I think they do care about interest in the true sense, like showing that you did some research on the school and are interested in specific classes, clubs, etc. as reflected in your supplemental essays. And ED obviously shows interest. She also said they track “disinterest” like if they send you an email asking you for something that might be missing in your application or reach out to you for an interview and you never get back to them. That might count against an applicant.

AOs at both Duke and Penn said on my tours and meetings that by “interest” they specifically mean applying ED.

yes, they do not care if you go to sessions or visit campus…interest is considered only when you apply through a binding way

yeah sorry, i applied ED and was deferred so maybe that’s why she mentioned that to me! the whole umbrella of “interest” can be so vague lol

How many people from India were interviewed?

Can you please tell me how I could search up this information on a different college?

Google common data set + college name

Thank you.

Hi,
Can anyone tell me what does their screen show after they click on the withdrawal button?
Does it show unauthorised or a form?
