I am also white…no hooks. 3 sport varsity athele with many extracurriculars.

@dreams2big4scores2low @ Marz23C Well good luck to all of us

:slight_smile: Lets keep hoping

For Wharton, does a high Math section (750) and a very high Math 2 Subject test (770) weight more than other sections on SAT? What would your thoughts be on this?

Unfortunately 770 sounds high, but for math 2 subject test its only 69th percentile for 2015

https://secure-media.collegeboard.org/digitalServices/pdf/sat/sat-percentile-ranks-subject-tests-2014.pdf

Nothing wrong with 770. I got a lower score and it certainly hasn’t been detrimental to me. 750 seems like a good score for Wharton. The only places I’d say a score of 800 of SAT II Math II would really be needed are schools like Caltech, MIT, etc.

I’d agree with @frenchtoastlover’s point re: Caltech, but I got into MIT with SAT I Math of 740 and SAT II Math Level I of 740 as well. They’re a bit more wholistic, so I’d definitely say you’re fine here with Penn.

Anybody know of anyone who got in with relatively low gpa…like my standardized test scores are fine ( 35 ACT, 800 Math 2, 740 Chem) and 6 AP exam scores…but my gpa is quite low ( especially freshman year)

@rik123 how low is low?

Hi Guys! I received a letter via snail mail today dated a week ago in regards to missing one financial aid document.
Is this hinting at acceptance or am I grasping at straws? Why would they need financial aid information if I was rejected? I received a similar email from Notre Dame a few days before I received acceptance.

@fhskid
I also got a snail mail with request go a missing FA doc. I also think is a good sign.

@IfnousWHO
Great! I’m so happy to hear. The same thing happened to me with another school, and it did end up going good. Trying not to get my hopes up tooo high!

@fhskid
Well, is definitely not bad news, :wink:

@chubii like 3.4-3.6

@rik123 That sounds bad, but it all depends on your class rank.

@aBitOfLuck My school does not report class rank

@rik123 Usually universities find out each school’s GPA breakdown or some approximation of it; is your GPA competitive with those of your top classmates (~top 10%)?

@fhskid got one too, but 95% sure FA office is not linked to admissions.

I too received a letter today notifying me of uncompleted financial aid forms.

@aBitOfLuck Yeah I would say so…top 10 - 15 % perhaps …

@smollhuman @IfnousWHO

I mean how can they look at everyone who applies financial papers. I think its physically impossible.
