I applied RD as a nursing major for the class of 2022 and just received a a notification this afternoon that I am a Likely Admitted Student.
@oreocookiessss Congrats!
So the nursing hunch was right. Congrats!
@MaybeHarvard2022 They used to send likely letters to everyone up until not too long ago. not sure why they have stopped.

@oreocookiessss would you mind sharing your stats
@hhhggg for the first wave of interviews, the match is based on availability in your local area. For the second round of interviews (skype/phone), the match is based on preferences listed by the interviewer (e.g., whether or not the interviewer wants to be matched with domestic vs. international applicants, applicants applying to the same school that the alumnus graduated from, etc.)
@oreocookiessss Congrats!
Congrats @oreocookiessss!!
@oreocookiessss Congrats!!
Does anyone know if all those applying to Penn, other than nursing applicants, are eligible to receive likely letters?
@Rescuediva
ACT Composite: 35
GPA weighted: 4.55
GPA unweighted: 4.00
SAT Biology subject test: 720
SAT Math 2 subject test: 780
I took a total of 3 AP classes and a lot of honors classes. The majority of my extracurriculars are about the volunteer work that I have done. Hope this helps! (:
Does anyone know when the RD decisions will be released? The website says by April 1st, but that is not super specific. I heard that the ivy decision date is March 28th (not are how true that is).
Everyone’s been saying Ivy Day is 28th March. No confirmation has arrived yet. I hope they don’t stretch it out further than that though.
@IntApp2022 on the yale portal, it states that decisions are being released on March 28th
Does it say what time @yalie21 ?
@IntApp2022 It’s usually 5p
Penn notified ED Deffered applicants that they would hear a final decision on March 28th.
@oreocookiessss just wondering, how did you receive notification of likely status? Was it by email or phone call? Also congrats!!!
Based on previous years’ threads, I would say that it is guaranteed for decisions to be released between Tuesday, March 27, 2018 and Saturday, March 31, 2018. Not sure if that helps tho
We’ve literally said multiple times decisions WILL come out March 28th. That is a fact.
@cleantable
Thank you! I got an email saying to check my Penn Applicant Portal. Once I logged in, I could see the letter.
Is it possible to be accepted without a likely letter?
