I’m on Long Island and just received a request to interview via Skype since apparently there aren’t interviewers located in my geographic location.
My S was contacted by a local alumnus for an interview tomorrow. My S asked a friend of his and current UPenn freshman if she also interviewed. We don’t know if this is standard practice for all applicants where there are local alumni. My S barely made the RD deadline so I’m surprised by the request to interview.
Hi all! Applying to CAS for a degree in Biology: Pre-Vet Concentration. I just got emailed by an alumni a few hours ago asking me for some dates and times to have an interview, so don’t feel discouraged if you haven’t heard yet! It might take just a little time for them to get all the information assigned to each interviewer.
@Ella582 that makes me feel a lot better. Thanks so much love best of luck to you!
Update on the interview front: my S’s friend (UPenn freshman) was interviewed last year by the same alumnus. Apparently he interviews about 15 applicants a year. My S’s interview today was about one hour. He said it was “okay.” UPenn is a reach for him, like it is for everyone. Just time to wait and see. Good luck to everyone.
Hi everyone! I’m applying RD to CAS - BBB track. I got contacted for an interview earlier today. It’s a virtual one as there aren’t any interviewers in my region, but that was expected since I’m an international applicant.
@IntApp2022 Me too! What continent are you from?
My S just received his interview notice last week. He submitted his RD at the very last second. We live in the L.A. area. My take is that it is always better to be interviewed because it’s another opportunity to add some depth and dimension to your application. @bluemonkey66 I am an alumni interviewer for another Ivy League school, and I know that my interview assignments are completely random. I would not read anything into why someone didn’t get an interview.
From Chicago and still no word on any interviews, for people who did get the email for an interview, did it come up when you searched University of Pennsylvania in your inbox?
@RubaDubDub , my email came straight to my inbox from the interviewer’s personal email. The subject line just said University of Pennsylvania interview. I’m in Central Florida and mine is going to be an in-person interview for anyone who is curious.
@Controlla I’m from Asia. You?
@Ella582 Alright, thanks for the info!
Any interviews in Texas yet?
@funtimes123 Me. Had it last week.
Yeah, NYC and still no interview.
had mine last week
Rt @28cats
@funtimes123 I’m having mine today
Anyone from NV get one? Lol there aren’t many NV peeps on CC…
So someone from my school already had an interview a while ago, and I haven’t gotten anything. Is this bad?
