Upenn sas vs upenn seas !!!

Hey guys

This is not a chance thread lol

For early decision
Is upenn sas easier to get into than upenn seas

If I get into upenn sas, can I switch into upenn seas right away ( before I start my freshman yr)

Say for some reason, I can't switch and have to wait till end of freshman year
If I take bioengineering at upenn seas, do I have spend an extra year at college
How does that work? Since I missed the first yr of engineering at school of arts and sciences

And just for those who are wondering

If sas is easier, then I'll apply to it
If. I can't switch into engineering right away, I'll finish off premed requirements then take bioengineering after first yr

But would I still be able to finsih it in 4 yrs?

Thanks for all the responses!

If you are interested in bioengineering apply to seas. Seas is definitely not harder to get into than sas. If you have sciency-engineering type ecs I bet your application would be better received by seas anyways. Wharton is the school that is harder to get into. And no you can’t apply to switch schools until the end of Freshman year, so you would probably fall behind.

SEAS technically has a significantly higher acceptance rate than CAS but it is more self selective. If you know you want to do BE you should definitely apply to SEAS. You could transfer into engineering pretty easily after freshman year if you have taken the intro science classes but it makes absolutely no sense to do that unless you are unsure whether you want to do engineering.
