Hey, I know this is fairly vague due to Upenn's lack of information on the topic, but what's the ED acceptance rate for the SEAS? I've read that the number lies around 40%, which makes sense (I've also read that the Bioengineering major has a ~10% acceptance rate, BS imo) due to the fact that the overwhelming majority of people applying to Penn apply to the CAS.
JHU is right around the number, but it is essentially a School of Engineering and Applied Sciences by itself.

the overall acceptance rate for SEAS is ~16% for last year. They average the ED and the RD together. Unless, the RD is something ridiculously low, it is not possible for ED to be 40%. My guess is that its somewhere right around where the overall is at ~26%. Wharton brings the acceptance rate down, Nursing brings it up. CAS and SEAS are probably right around the reported.

JHU went apprx. 39% this year, i believe. I may be wrong about the exact number, but I am sure it is about 40.

Thanks for the CAS number, but the SEAS should be triple that, methinks. Penn engineering is not what most hardcore engineers are looking for, but its programs fit me perfectly.

I noticed that Penn Engineering’s site has posted that “There were a total of 6,141 freshman applications for the Class of 2015.” This compares to 4791 last year, of which 811 (16.9%) were admitted. I have never seen ED vs RD specific numbers, however.
