Last year, I visited UPenn's campus, and I absolutely fell in love with it; I could feel myself studying in UPenn. I would absolutely choose UPenn ED. I am highly interested in UPenn's renowned BME program.

So I recently discovered my school's Naviance statistics for UPenn ED:
Averages...
GPA: 3.79
SAT: 1411
SAT: 2078
ACT: 30

My Current Stats are:
GPA: 3.68 (Very Rigorous, more than previous ED applicants, I believe)
SAT: 1360
SAT: 2000
ACT: 29

Very good ECs, good essay, very rigorous course load, 780 Chem, 760 Math 2, internship at a biomedical engineering company

Yes, my GPA is lackluster, but I truly believe my course rigor is higher than the majority of my school's applicants. However, if I were to get all A's my first quarter, 2200 SAT, and 32 ACT (numbers I obtained from recent practice tests), what would my chances be?

I would say that if you raised your SATs, you would have a good chance of getting in. Being from HI presumable helps as well, in terms of geographical diversity.

while i agree that you should try and retake the SATs i think that penn is more concerned about other things you did

for example, i too had extensive research and and internship in envt/chem engineering and i think that made my app stand out

try and emphasize your internships and what youve learned…most high schoolers dont have that. its a unique quality that i think admissions will consider heavily

Yes rajan, I will be doing an internship from a local biomedical engineering company this fall. I will definitely take your advice… however, do you suggest that I use my internship experience to create an essay for my supplement? what should I do?
