UPenn SEAS vs. CAS for undecided?

I'm a rising senior in high school, and plan to apply early decision to the University of Pennsylvania. I don't know what I want to major in, but my high school academic record seems geared in a math/science direction. I have high math/writing/science SAT/SAT II scores, but a low critical reading SAT I. Will I be better off applying to the College of Arts and Sciences or the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences?

If there is any difference, it is likely that the harder one to get into as a freshman is also the harder one to change major into later.

um…admissions isn’t only based on SAT scores =.=.

^ That’s true, but it’s also true that very selective engineering programs tend to have high average CR scores (as well as very high M scores). Look at the median SAT/CR scores at Caltech (700-790), MIT (670-770, avg. = 710), Harvey Mudd (690-770, avg = 725), or Olin (660-740, avg = 725). I’d be surprised if the CR averages at Penn SEAS did not approach these numbers (which are as high as, or higher than, the averages for LACs like Williams, Bowdoin, or Haverford).
