UPenn SEAS vs. JHU BME vs. CMU CS

Where should I go?
Any comments will be appreciated.
Please provide reasons, too.:)

Forget CMU, choose between Penn and JHU. My vote is to Penn, better overall reputation.

Personally, I agree with slipper1234, and would go with Penn SEAS.

I think definitely JHU BME. Their Biomedical Engineering program is tops in the nation, and if that area is what you want to be in, then there is no better place to be.

cmu's cs is the best in the us.

jhu's bme is the best in the us.

penn is ivy.

if your interest is set on cs, go to cmu. if your interest is set on bme, go to jhu. if you want prestige and connections or you're undecided on what you want to do in life, go to penn

i was gonna say exactly what expo2005 said, listen to his post

This is some of the most ridiculous BS I've ever heard. JHU's engineering is stronger than Penn's but weaker than CMU's. Dont go to penn simply for the ivy name, JHU boasts just as many alumni connections. With Penn, wharton grads are ashamed to mention the "UPENN" name to RECRUITERS so they won't mistaken it with PSU. This was documented in a recent issue of the school newspaper and can be easily found there. I'd say go to JHU, if BME is not your thing, the other engineering majors are still relatively strong especially with the new bioengineering additions. Biotech/BME is the future. You wouldn't want to get left behind would you?

It's tough between JHU & Penn.. you can't go wrong with either or

I wanna get MBA after college.
How does it change my decision then?

i don't think you should get bombasted for seriously considering penn. penn is definitely awesome if you're not really sure what you want to do. if you're afraid that you might lose interest in bme or cs, then penn would be the place that would offer you tons of OTHER choices at an IVY league level. you'll always be surrounded by the best students in the world and the best professors in the world as well.

you also have to consider where you want to be for the next four years, what kind of college life you want to have, and other stuff. personally, i would chose penn for the following reasons:
1. i didn't find baltimore an attractive place, but that's dependant on the individual's tastes.
2. i wrote that i'm gonna be a cs major but i'm not sure that that's what i'm going to really pursue for four years. i'm interested in east asian studies but cmu doesn't offer that.
3. by process of elimination, i got penn. and penn is a nice big city (also something i was looking for, although pittsburgh seems like a nice college city).

so, every person has his own personal reasons too. you have to consider your own personal situation and find what suits you best. although i don't know how good my own advice is when i can't choose my own college ww.
