Do they???????????????????????/

They will contact you by any means.
“The Office of Admissions will follow up with you directly sometime in February if your application is missing required documents” says the portal.

Yea they sent me an email saying my App Fee was missing.
So if you’re missing something, yes, they’ll let you know.

paukid: what’s the alternative? They just dump all the files that are missing items? C’mon. They spend tons of money and manhours trying to attract applications. This is so they can evaluate them. Why would they not try their hardest to get as many applications complete as possible? Stop worrying.

it says my transcript is still “not satisfied.” I used common app online so it should have been with SSR and counselor rec. (all other schools have received it)

This is getting annoying… I think I’ll call them on Monday,

I have the EXACT same problem impetuous! Please update us when you do!!!

Thanks! thing is I sent my materials through regular mail (im an international), and most of the colleges im applying to got them (one month and a half later!!) anyhow apparently they havent received any of my materials yet, it says not satisfied so Im freaking out! I wrote to my regional advisor and she said I shouldnt worry, that they wouldnt let me know, but that was like a month ago…:s…

@paukid

although it’s too late to change anything,

most college encourage international students to apply online. Faster and safer.

Thanks, I did the CA online but the rest of the materials had to be done on paper since I needed translations and all that…I will write to my regional advisor again I guess.

yea anyone hear back yet? My thing stills says teacher recommendation is missing or “outstanding” and my counselor did say she sent everything so idk whats up with them.

I have this problem too, or at least I did when I checked it yesterday.

Website says:
The MyPenn Applicant Portal is available for undergraduate applicants to the University of Pennsylvania. After we process both your Application and your Penn Application Supplement you will receive an email with your User Name and Password for the MyPenn Applicant Portal.

I never received the e-mail with the user name and password! Has everybody else gotten theirs? If so, how long ago? Thanks!

within a day of applying.

Crap. Not good…

I have a question…I received an email a couple of days ago saying that they have not received my SAT I scores. I sent those scores about two weeks ago, and all my other schools received it. I corresponded a few emails with the person, and he repeatedly asked for my unofficial test scores to be faxed over asap. So yesterday I checked my penn portal and SAT I scores appear to be satisfied, but even after that the guy still replied saying to fax over unofficial scores.

So I’m wondering, why do they want unofficial scores? Why are they so impatient about receiving my SAT? I sent the scores to them as soon as they came out, so Penn should be able to wait for them if they said they accepted the Jan score and did not need the scores to be rushed…

Some people told me that this is a good sign, some said bad. What do you think?

Fatum: Idk that sounds strange. Colleges usually only want official scores not unofficial but if they’re asking to fax it u mite as well. Whether its a good or bad sign, that you will find out march 31.

Now Penn still hasn’t me contacted me about missing material cuz the portal still says missing recomendations. Idk if they haven’t uploaded it or what but its the end of Feb and still no mail from them.

Any suggestions on what i should do about the missing materials since it’s march and no contact from them? Should i email them?

daplan - I’m in a similar situation (portal says Penn’s still missing stufftranscript, but Penn hasn’t contacted me), so I called them today. They said that unless I get an email saying things are missing, I’m okay, regardless of what the portal says. The lady also said that applications are with regional committees being reviewed and that if stuff is missing when the adcom gets to my file, I’ll get a “send stuff because we don’t have it” email. hope this helps! :)

@bluesweatshirt

Thank you! I sent them 2 emails about my “unsatisfied” transcript but there was no answer. I was pretty sure all along that it’s been received though cuz my counselor submitted everything online on Commonapp, and Penn received my counselor rec, SSR and others.

So I guess I wouldn’t have to call them up since I haven’t received anything about a missing transcript, at least not yet.

Thanks bluesweatss but i already made my counselor submit my teacher recommendation again so looks like they’re getting a double if they already don’t have my first. I’m kinda surprised its going through regional officers now. I thought the adcoms would be about at the 75% completion mark and kinda worried that mayb i didn’t make the cut so they didn’t bother emailing me.
