My advice is to apply to the school that you really want to go to. If you don’t, you won’t be happy where you end up. At least if you apply to the school you really want to go to, you’ll have the chance of getting in (and not a bad one, I might add) and even if you don’t at least there is closure. If you never apply, there will always be the sense of “what if?” So my advice is to apply to whatever school you truly want to go to, not “settling” (if you can even call it that seeing as many people would die to get into CAS) for an easier to get into school.

But if there is something that you’re really passionate about in CAS then do go for it. At the end of the day, what really matters is that you’ll be happy where you are.

thanks for that good points. I would be happy at either, and Im stuck here becuase you can also transfer into wharton after your first year so idk if I should take the more likely route of CAS…cuz I also want to do bioengineering

I think Wharton. Though U. Penn is great state school and all.

OP, given your stats, what in the he**, do you actually really need college?

I wouldn’t advise for transfering to Wharton. It’s extremely competitive and I think that with your stats (especially the subjective ones), you’ll get in to Wharton.

Haha, well in case it all doesnt work out…plan ahead my friend! And UPenn is not a state school. Just sounds like it.

Thanks harrovian for the encouragement, only time will tell i guess

you’re EC’s are amazing. I think you will definitely get into Wharton also. Don’t do CAS it’s a waste of your potential.

thanks alexmass, but my scores…

Your scores don’t mean as much as you think they do. They’re high enough that your ECs can compensate.

Wharton for sure, you seem business focused

Wharton the tougher school. My daughter knows a couple of students at Wharton - says they refer to CA as the College of Arts & Crafts.

HAHA ok guys thanks for the help. Im gonna apply to wharton today :)
