Upenn social scene?

Hi guys, I've been hearing lots of stereotypes about Penn lately and I want to know if they're true. I come from a really cliquey, non partying group of private school kids. I am definitely not a partier. I'm not closed minded to it at all, but I'm not like a hardcore partier that wants to get smashed 5 times a week.

I'm not a fan of the greek life system AT ALL, and that's my biggest issue with Penn. My high school is super cliquey, and if I got into UPenn, would the greek life make it cliquey too? Does the party scene revolve around the greek scene?

Anddd, what would you say the attitude of the students are? Pretentious? Overly competitive? High strung? Laid back? Easy going? Happy?

I really love happy laid back people, and I don't want to be in an environment where everybody is freaking out over grades and tests and life and stuff like that.

Thanks!

Also, I’ve heard that there’s a lot of Jewish/Asian students which is totally fine I don’t mind, a lot of my friends are Asian and Jewish, but I’ve heard that at UPenn, they sort of only stick to other Asians/Jewish people, which adds to my clique question.

Would you say everyone’s friendly?

Ive heard the same, there’s a website online, which is censored when i type it. prowl. college. backwards. google it and the clique scene exists, I’m not into frats either but I’m just gonna suck it up if I get accepted.
