UPenn - Testing Advise

I know UPenn requires 2 Sat IIs and the SAT Reasoning OR the ACT. I was wondering if it would be beneficial for me to just submit my ACT with writing, or both ACT and SAT.

My scores are as follows:

SAT Reasoning (one sitting): Math - 720 CR - 700 W - 710
SAT IIs: US History - 780
Math IIC - 760
Chem - 650 (I’m hoping this doesn’t hurt me as Penn only requires 2)
*I’m either gonna retake Chem or take Bio in the fall. May retake IIC, too.

ACT: English - 32
Math - 35
Reading - 32
Science - 32
Composite: 33
Writing: 11
*I’m going to retake the ACT once, as this was my first time.

So, would it be better to only Submit ACT, as neither are great, but the ACT is better than the SAT?

blah, I can’t edit the title, but i meant “Advice,” not “Advise” haha.

i think you should send your ACT and then your SAT II history and math IIC. Even if you send your chem, it wont make much of a difference. Your scores, in my opinion, are competitive for upenn

yeah that's what i was planning on doing, ACT + my 2 best SAT IIs

anyone else agree? disagree?

if you have collegeboard send ur subject test scores, they automatically send the scores to every SAT test you've taken, reasoning and subject... I would just send the ACT scores alone

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your test scores (except for chem but you're right about Penn taking the top two), send them all and don't worry about it. How is the rest of your app. Thats pretty important too.

As far as the rest of the app goes, my essays should be fairly good, and at least one of my teacher recs should be excellent (either my history or english teacher will write an excellent one, my science dept one should be decent, too as i do volunteer work w/ my physics teacher so hopefully she'll play that up). I'm pretty close to my guidance counselor, so that shouldn't be bad or generic either. I have 102 weighted, 98-99 UW, and i will without a doubt be val or sal when my app is sent, and i will have taken every AP my school offers. Also, I live in PA, which i hear is a plus for UPenn.

For ECs, I'll probably have 1000 hrs of volunteer work logged. Ice hockey but not for my HS. I went to govenor's school, and a bunch of other ECs and awards, nothing really spectacular.

I wasn't intending on this being a chances thread, but how am i looking, despite the SAT?

Your SAT score is super competitive, btw, I play hockey at my school, where do you play hockey?
