Upenn Transfer fall 2010

I called the admissions office this morning… decisions released through the portal at 3pm on Thursday, May 13.

OMG… next Thursday is gonna be brutal! Orgo final, psych final, Yale and Penn decisions… I don’t think I can handle that!

I KNOW!! im soo scraed  hey I was checking my portal and it says I could view my decision only BUT the link is NOT working!!! uggghhhhhh  does anyone has the same problem? -.-

I am calling and all i get is “please leave a message” uggghhhh

i think that link is for freshman decisions… they must use the same portal format for freshmen and transfer, which is why it’s showing up for us but we have no decision letters.

ohh okay that you nvilla :)

45daysinrome: That is a possibility but how do you even know most of them applied to Wharton?

I’m hoping you are right though…

Just a guess based on what I’ve been hearing around here -could be completely wring though.

because most of them said it in the thread

But regardless CAS has a 10% acceptance rate :(

Dude, Castiel, you are set either way. If you get accepted, you can choose between Penn or Cornell. If you get rejected, you attend Cornell. (I’m assuming) Both scenarios place you in a pretty enviable position.

haha i agree to that, thats pretty much what I planned to do

I wish money wasn’t a problem though, these schools are pretty dang expensive.

Joe, what schools did you apply to?

just Penn… lol… I only applied to Penn because it is pretty much the only elite school within 25 mile radius, lol. And, it is also awesome in practically every aspect.

My parents really want me close to home. Like literally 30 minutes away, at the max. If I get rejected though, I am going to attend my current institution for another year and attempt to transfer into Penn as junior for fall 2011. Yep, that’s the plan. Where are you from?

ahh i see, yeah I understand about close to home. im different though, i like to be far from home to explore life as an adult haha

im from florida but at NYU currently

did you apply to CAS? What major?

lol, if I get into Penn, I would gladly stay on campus for like several months until vacation breaks, of course. hah

So, what did you dislike about NYU?

Yep, Economics. You?

haha i see i see

i applied for psychology

oh NYU was fun, but classes were too large so i couldnt learn well (700+). Plus in my bio class we had new professors every 2 weeks and no recitations so i found it not giving me materials to learn. plus on the social side there were no frats here so the only parties freshman had were in dorms which tends to be lame lol

why else do u like penn?

“Online Decisions for Transfer Applicants will be available on Thursday, May 13, at 3 p.m”

You all saw this right?

arcadefire1027: Yeah, I just checked my email and saw this message from Penn. Man, this is crazy, only week left…

Castiel: Psychology, nice. This reminds me of when I barely got an A on my Intro. Psychology course lol, 92.67 … haha

Wow, class sizes of 700, that’s insane. The lectures I have usually are from 80 - 130. And, what’s up with the constant rotation of professors, that kind of sucks. Yeah, now I can understand why you want to leave NYU, lol.

Yeah, Penn is just awesome. I don’t really want to type out an explanation though, too lazy, lol. Basically, I break it down to a few components: academics are excellent, parties are pretty sweet, campus is beautiful, and great extracurricular opportunities.

i got the email about thursday at 3 too. did everyone get it? or will some ppls decision be release after on a rolling basis?

OMG… I didn’t get an email! Does that mean anything??

wow a 92.67 is considered an A- for us. we need above a 95 to get an A. =/
