Upenn Transfer fall 2010

I got an email from UPenn 4 mins ago:
Thank you for applying to the University of Pennsylvania. We will be posting Transfer Admissions Decisions online on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 3 p.m. EDT.

Your decision can be viewed by going to:
https://www.admissions.upenn.edu/decisions/mydecision.php</a>

Please bookmark this web address. You will not be able to log in until 3 p.m. on May 13th.

The Decision website uses the same User Name and Password that you’ve already been using to access the MyPenn Applicant Portal.

For those who do not check their decision online, we will be mailing decision letters.

got the email just now

Also got the email. Does anyone by chance know if financial aid packages are sent out with decisions, or do those come later?

crap my prof hasnt sent my rec letter yet.
hope he does so by this weekend and it doesnt affect my decision

does anyone know of the stats of those who apply and those who are accepted?

What school do you go to, lol? 95 = A??? I am pretty sure the standard is 93-96 A and 97-100 A+…

STJ in Queens, NY there are no A+ here. a 94 is an A-.

94 is A-?? That’s outrageous.

tell me about it. thats why i have a 3.94 gpa. my test grades in calc were 90, 98, 101, and 85 and i got an A-. and the 101 was on the final. i barely missed a 4.0

That’s just ridiculous… Anybody know what is the grading policy at Penn?

Anyone not get the email? I’m just wondering to see if every single applicant actually received the sent message.

i got it. so 3PM EDT is also 3PM EST?

It is definitely 3pm est. Think about it, Penn is located in the EST zone.

EDT = Eastern Daylight Time
EST = Eastern Standard Time
They both refer to the US Eastern time zone, where Penn is located.

45daysinrome: Did you get your email yet?

it’s relieving, but frightening at the same time, thinking about how fast the Penn adcom is turning around these decisions.

it seems like everyone’s decision will be posted next Thursday, as opposed to the “1st bunch,” “2nd bunch,” etc. deal of previous years

the folks at Penn really know what they’re doing, unlike those at some other schools who take months

and for the record, I also received the email today.

Hmmm, I strongly doubt all of us will receive decisions on Thursday. It… just doesn’t seem possible? I mean, you have to consider the fact that they have over 2000 transfer applications.

Also, there was an identical email sent out to last year’s transfer applicants, and some CC’ers still received decisions 2 - 3 weeks after May 15th, 2009.

Anyone bracing to get rejected? im a 3.7 from a CC and am already expecting to get rejected… sad… no hope for me…

I got the email too! lets just wait and HOPE to get in :)

My English class is from 2 - 3:20… so I will have to wait 20 minutes plus 10 to get back to my dorm… Anyone else have class during 3pm on Thursday?
