Upenn Transfer fall 2010

9 more hours…

an article in the daily pennsylvania said yesterday “approximately 195 transfer students will be admitted to Penn this Thursday.”
this worries me because according to college board 366 transfers were admitted last year and 247 enrolled. im hoping the 195 number is how many students they predict will accept the adimission offer and not how many students were offered admission total. even so it seems like less ppl were admitted this year but this might be attributed to a decrease in applications? who knows…

the collegeboard numbers aren’t up to date I guess… because according to the daily pennsylvanian they accepted 162 transfers last year and going to accept 195 this year.

Today’s the day! Gonna be done with finals and then find out my decision from Penn!

Did anyone slept last night???

45day, we can do this! I too, applied for Yale =(

I for one did not sleep. Im just trying to patiently await 3:00 w/o spazzing out.

Ugggh 6 1/2 hours! Gonna find out between my prob/stat and multivariable finals… Haha fun.

i didnt sleep either lol

Mhenry: 195 students will be admitted today… but there are also students that will likely be accepted in the second and third wave of decisions, hopefully.

Another possibility, though remote, is that they mean 195 students will be accepted to CAS. I really have to say that I don’t think that’s what they mean, but it is possible, and if true could explain the College Board number (which is probably based on acceptances to all four schools).

4 more hours to go!

3.5 Hours!

argh I wish I wasn’t gonna be in class when they’re posted.

That’s why you bring your laptop to class, like me.

i just have a feeling that alot of us will be disappointed today in that our decision might not actually be released today.

it just seems consistent with previous years that decisions would be released in separate batch waves. usually it’s just the sure-ins and sure-rejects that find out first…or am I wrong?

The admission rep. I spoke to stated the majority of applicants should find out today…

I am guaranteed to get rejected… if I get accepted, I will paypal the next 5 people that post after this a dollar. 2 hours 40 minutes to go!!!

But I am still getting denied one hundred percent… shouldnt have even wasted my time applying

I want a dollar!

jhanago: Why so down on yourself? What’s your gpa and the university you are currently attending?

3.75 from a Community College… no point in grasping at false hope

So far, arcadefire1027 and Joe_L514 are getting a dollar  anyone else?

Yeah, I feel you man. It’s better to assume you will be rejected since you will be prepared for rejection and be pleasantly surprised by an acceptance.

Wait, does this mean I will get $2 now!?!?

j/k haha
