an article in the daily pennsylvania said yesterday “approximately 195 transfer students will be admitted to Penn this Thursday.”
this worries me because according to college board 366 transfers were admitted last year and 247 enrolled. im hoping the 195 number is how many students they predict will accept the adimission offer and not how many students were offered admission total. even so it seems like less ppl were admitted this year but this might be attributed to a decrease in applications? who knows…

Mhenry: 195 students will be admitted today… but there are also students that will likely be accepted in the second and third wave of decisions, hopefully.

Another possibility, though remote, is that they mean 195 students will be accepted to CAS. I really have to say that I don’t think that’s what they mean, but it is possible, and if true could explain the College Board number (which is probably based on acceptances to all four schools).

i just have a feeling that alot of us will be disappointed today in that our decision might not actually be released today.

it just seems consistent with previous years that decisions would be released in separate batch waves. usually it’s just the sure-ins and sure-rejects that find out first…or am I wrong?

Yeah, I feel you man. It’s better to assume you will be rejected since you will be prepared for rejection and be pleasantly surprised by an acceptance.
