@ atomspatz: yep mine is only the measly directloan as well. I will def be calling the finaid office to find out if this is their official package or what. Also, I am waiting on Brown as well. Although Id prefer Penn, i have heard that penn is the worst with finaid and brown is usually much better (even though their transfer admissions is need aware, if you are accepted with need they will take care of you 100% or so ive heard). Lemme know what happens with you though!!

@kyle808
I’m at georgetown right now, so if Columbia and duke don’t work out that will be my decision too!

@ gkim310 me too… what did they tell you in the letter???

tsakashvili: My sentiments exactly.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I am super glad to join you all, I am IN!

kyle808, I was also accepted into Georgetown, but I am rather set on Penn. What major are you, and what factors are you weighing in your decision?

rejected, awww man. I think i would have chose cornell anways, but good luck to you all.

please post your stats when you post your decision!

Accepted, also very ****ty aid… I’m assuming what’s on the PennPlan is incorrect. I also saw the May 19th date somewhere, but can’t seem to find it again, can someone post the link?

Nevermind, it’s on the front page of the PennPlan website. This makes me feel a little bette but not much

The “Information for Admitted Students” pdf only lists that FinAid decisions will be posted “beginning in mid-May.” From what it sounds like we will receive official notifications from Student Financial Services.

FINALLY accepted somewhere!!! :D

I called the admissions office before my multi final, they said financial aid decisions would be released in the coming weeks, and didn’t seem all too concerned about the reply date… which is kinda funny, but in a cruelly ironic sort of way :P

Vassar College GPA: 3.75
Midterm report: 4.0
High School GPA: 4.03W
ACT: 33
Major: Math
ECs: A cappella, lots of theatre…

Atomspatz: You go to Vassar too? Which house do you live in? I’m currently in Jewett if you’re curious.

Yay… I got in. Does anyone know when we have until to let them know our decision?

EDIT: Nvm. Found it.

So it says “Your acceptance is not final until (the final) transcript has been received. The University researves the right to rescind the offer of admission if your final transcript is unsatisfactory”

I didn’t do exceptionally for my second semester. My midterm grade was horrible (but I still got accepted…).

GPA up until my second semester (2nd year): 3.76
Midterm Grades: (B+, B, C+)
Second Semester GPA: 3.13
Cumulative GPA: 3.63

so, my question is, what is considered as “unsatisfactory???”
I hope they don’t reject me after they see my grade…

Worrying about the same thing, too…

GPA of first semester of first year: 4.0 (two 100level, two 200level)
Midterm report: three A, two A-
Good, so far…

But, I did really bad in the last half semester. Since the course are harder(four 200level, one 100 level).
Estimated grade: one A(the 100-level one), two B+~A-, two B~B+(OrgoII really sucks…)…
So, it’s quite unsatisfactory…

Sophomore standing
Admitted to SEAS
From 20+ LAC

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw lol

I don’t wanna blame it on the whole transfer process, but it WAS really time consuming and it did affect my grades…

accepted!!! i don’t know what you guys are looking at for aid. i think you’re looking at the penn plan? but that isn’t our actual aid right?? we’ll get that next week through financial aid?..
