UPenn Transfer Thread Fall 2021

Hi all! Does anyone know when they start sending out the acceptances and rejections for transfers? I haven’t been able to find info on the approximate date on any websites or other forums.

Thanks!

The only date I found was May 15 on the common data set.

Yea came out may15 last year

Has everyone’s documents been marked as received? the status is still awaiting for my college report, but I submitted it a long time ago.

Mine was marked as received for all materials a month ago. You should email the admissions office asap.

My college transcript is still pending even though I sent it over a month ago and I got an email from national student clearinghouse noting its delivery

This is not uncommon. Seeing delays of a month or more as the colleges catch up after the mad rush of first year admissions. If you don’t see it updated this week then I’d follow up. But my guess is that if you definitely sent it, it will be there this week. Don’t panic about it. The schools are pushing everything back this year so they are just now getting to xfer applicatons. You should ensure you get your midterm grade sheet filled out by your professors as that can take some time if you have to go 1 by 1.

I’d imagine this may get delayed this year as did 1st year admissions. I’m guessing May 31?

Could be but if they can get thru the thousands of ED apps in 6 weeks they should be able to do the transfer apps (which are significantly less) in the same time.

yeah, i emailed them twice last week but still haven’t received a response :frowning:

Have any of you guys been in contact with the transfer admissions office with like updates or anything?

My D is waiting for her mid-term grade report waiver because she’s on a gap year. They said it would take 4-6 weeks to get it. They’re not moving that quickly lol.

My professors have been extremely slow getting the midterm report back to me. Is it gonna be too late to send it in?

No just send it as soon as you can.

No, they release decision in mid May, it’s not too late to submit it.

How can we check the status of our financial aid?

I think you have to email them I don’t see a checklist anywhere that shows if they received it.

If you’ve been admitted, there should be a FA checklist in PennInTouch. In my experience, Penn takes about four to six weeks to package students assuming you submitted your paperwork by the priority deadline (April 12 for transfer students). You should call them if you need an answer sooner though it may not speed up the process.

Hey guys, does anyone know when the decisions are coming out?

If past history is any indication around May 15. Hopefully sooner but nothing to base that on. Did see that Columbia I think is around May 8th maybe? And Cornell has started so maybe Penn will start soon too.
