UPenn? UCLA? BC?

do you guys think that i could have a chance at any of these?

here are my 'stats':

i am currently a sophomore in high school in arizona (i have no idea about my high school's ranking.. but i live in arizona, which is the bottom of the education barrel.. though i'm in a good district).. the classes i plan on taking next year are english 3 h, chem 2 ap, geo/trig h, psychology ap, spanish 4 h, and az/american history ap.. i have gotten all a's in high school so far.. (which last year was something like a 4.6... this year is like a 4.3... and next year should be way higher since i have the opportunity to take more weighted classes..).. umm.. i did okay on my psats.. 1890.. meh.. they kind of took me by surprise ^_^

but the problem is extracurriculars.. i haven't yet found my niche, i guess. i take a dance class once a week (not through school), write poems and stuff (not for school, but i have submitted several poems into our lit. zine.. which is pretty much dormant this year..), am a member of key club, volunteer at the jewish community center (even though i'm non-religious?? haha) for 3 hours a week, and belong to keystone.. this isn't really much- especially compared to most competetive students who are in stugo or marching band or crazy stuff like that. ^_^

i would like to major in business and minor in either communication or creative writing, so i was considering getting involved in the school newspaper. but to do that, i would first need to take a yearbook course for a year (ew).. and both a yearbook class and a newspaper class are unweighted and would destroy my gpa.. (my counselor even advised me that if looking for an out of state school, my h.s. gpa should be a higher priority than my interests when selecting classes)..

but anyway.. do you think i would have any sort of chance in getting into UPenn?
suggestions of anything more i could do would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning on doing more community service next year, but my biggest problem is ECs.. i haven't the slightest clue as to what i could get involved in. so.....yeah. ^_^

thankssss !

hello?! anyone out there?

Too early to tell. You're just a soph and alot of things can drastically change.

well, i mean if things continue the way they are now.. i posted my next year's classes.. i expect to get a's in them. and the only difference EC-wise is that i'm going to apply for NHS and SHS.. i also may apply for a job at the boys and girls club. but with what i have listed above + the changes i've listed in this post, what do you think?

SAT/ACT scores? Ranking? SAT IIs? AP Tests scores? Leadership positions? PSAT (national merit or commended)?

Again, you cannot correctly estimate till towards the end of junior year.

yeah, i guess you're right :-</p>

another question: if i got a job at the boys and girls club, do you think that this would look good in comparison to finding another one or two ECs or getting more volunteer hours? i would think that working steadily at a place like the B&GC would look nice because it's all about working with children and stuff..
