I have a quick question that needs to be answered ASAP :D ( i dont mean to sound demanding)

But i was wondering which college I should apply to if.....

UPENN --> i have family LEGACY

BROWN --> took a pre-college journalism course at Brown over summer

I honestly feel like i wont get into either school. but why not try right? haha :D
I also think i might have a harder time writing the Penn essay, but my parents are urging me to apply. what should i do ? :(

If this is ED, you should apply to Penn as legacy carries significant weight there.

If this is RD (which if you’re applying this year, it must be by now), then apply to both. Legacy status does carry SOME weight in RD, but Penn is very upfront in telling people that the biggest boost for legacies is in ED.

So yeah, apply to both. Just think of all the things Penn offers you that Brown doesn’t. Penn lets you take classes in graduate schools that Brown doesn’t even have (unless brown opened top-10 Law and Business schools while nobody was looking)
