I compared Penn to an underfunded state school, not NYU. NYU is a fine school and I don't have anything against it. However, it's stupid to go somewhere for undergrad based on program rankings (especially when both programs are solid) because most college students change their minds. What is more important is to make sure the college has a diverse offering of majors so you know if you change your mind that you won't have to transfer to find a school with your major.

A handful of NYU kids transfer to Penn each year...

Does anybody know how many go the other way?

i'd guess a very low, very round number...

To the OP - First of all you haven't gotten in yet so you may not even have a decision to make! Second - using info from www.collegeboard.com, UPenn is harder to get into than NYU but cost is about the same:

NYU: $45200
SAT Critical Reading: 600 - 700
SAT Math: 610 - 710
SAT Writing: 600 - 700

UPenn: $43960
SAT Critical Reading: 650 - 740
SAT Math: 680 - 770
SAT Writing: 650 - 740

Unbiased Analysis: UPenn better value and better school!

plus more milfs

if you were interested in business i think it would be better to compare scores to the stern school and wharton..more relevant

...a comparison that ends even more strongly in Penn's favor

stern numbers are pretty high. wharton is definitely higher, but i would imagine there's less of a gap.

Stern is full of Wharton rejects, and Wharton rejects a ton of great kids, so yea, Stern's SAT numbers and acceptance rate should be pretty solid.
