UPENN VS Weslyan vs Tufts vs Pomona college

I have narrowed my college choices down to these four and I would appreciate it if I could get some opinions and extra info (i.e. pros and cons) on these colleges. Thanks guys!

hmm... what do you want to major in? That's really an important part of deciding.

Unless you really, really like Tufts for some reason, I would knock that off the list first. I feel that the other 3 schools have much better academic offerings.

If you want a large-school, urban experience, go to UPenn. It's an excellent school with an Ivy League reputation.. but I've heard it can seem overbearingly affluent and cliquey. I personally hate large schools and cities, so I wouldn't attend UPenn (it was the first college I ever visited and I really didn't like it), but if you're into that sorta thing, and if you want to do business or engineering, I'd go there because business there is top shelf and I've heard their eng. is great too.

I would have a really hard time picking between Wesleyan and Pomona (both of which I would pick over penn for the above stated reasons)... Pomona might have a slightly (sliiightly) better academic standing, but it really would come down to intangibles ... do you prefer CA to CT? (I live on the east coast and would hate all the travel involved between school and home). Are you particularly drawn to Wesleyan's active (and largely activist) student body? Visit both, stay overnight, eat the food (sooo important, believe it or not). And then tell us which you choose :-D

Thanks keep em coming. :) I haven't really decided what to major in yet so I mainly need some opinions about the colleges.

I think most would pick Penn... but I think Pomona may have even smarter students.

Penn: 1330-1510 (20% accepted in 2003)

Pomona: 1390-1520 (21% accepted in 2003)
