the right call. My three best friends from college all went into mgmt. consulting right out of Williams. None had GPA's above 3.6. They were hired by three of the top five consulting firms (including McKensie). One made partner at his firm, the other two eventually earned MBA's from Wharton, and now are each at the top company in their respective industries. None of those guys worked anything close to six hours per day in college ... more like 2-3, and all had vibrant social and extracurricular lives. The point is, you don't have to be a star at Williams to secure an amazing future in business, lots of average to barely above average kids in my class have gone on to elite jobs and top ten MBA programs. Don't sweat it for a second. There is simply no way Penn is considered superior to Williams in terms of Wall Street / consulting recruiting. For those purposes, the top tier is Wharton, HYP, next tier would be Williams, Amherst, Columbia, Dartmouth, MIT. Penn would be in the third group, close behind, with Duke, Cornell, etc. There is a reason Williams is known for producing a disproportionate number of CEO's ... the school is very well regarded among b-schools and consulting and banking firms. Williams is certainly not widely known in society at large (then again, neither is Penn -- most folks confuse it with Penn St.) but in your area of interest, you have nothing whatsoever to fear.
