no, she's that .2 that didn't make it....

lol i'm glad i'm only 1/5 of a person...

Of course you are. :)

Hey, I definitely think you will get in, awesome job on all those latin award, I am taking AP Latin Catullus now. I live in Philadelphia too...woo ;-) Where do you go to school, if you want to say.

;-)

i go to the baldwin school in bryn mawr...what about you?

u r insanely smart = good chances

how some ppl on CC are really big geniuses and really involved yet people tell them they have no chance at their list of colleges...and then you have me...who's not as special as a lot of people....and i have ppl that tell me that i'll get in...=TT i'm really confused lol.

Good SAT, and decent SAT IIs (chinese will not count as much since you’re chinese).

A lot of the ECs you posted are just random school awards…
-Princeton Book Award
-Rensselaer Polytechnic institute medal
-Physics Department Award
-Montgomery County Science Fair Gold medal
-Biology Department Award
-Contribution to Life at School Award
-Excellence Awards in all my subjects
-Cicero Award

The RPI medal is a scholarship for RPI if you decide to go there. It isn’t an award to put on your application; besides very few people apply for it usually (by school) so it’s not even hard to get.

The rest are just school awards, and you won a county level award in science fair (competing against 2 people max… You better hope Penn doesn’t know that…)

So here ya are: high scores, weak ECs. but you go to the baldwin school and all ivys love that so you’re 100% in. /Scorn

CrazyPluto, thanks for replying 5 years later (good thing my email is the same or else I would not have had the pleasure of noticing this post). Just so you know, I ended up going to Penn M&T and a local organization gave me a full ride to college. I graduated already in 2010 and making six figures (though to be fair, money isn’t everything).

I can accurately say that your assessment is clearly wrong. Stop embarrassing yourself and spend less time discouraging others (focus that great energy on your own applications instead).

Joyx, I actually did not realize the thread was 5 years old. But my comment still stands.

You better thank the Baldwin School for your acceptance into the program and wharton. You can also thank Baldwin for getting you a full ride at Penn when (if you go to Baldwin) you are surely well off. Getting a 200k scholarship like that (just for getting into Wharton) is disgustingly awesome. /More scorn

My assessment was actually completely on the money. Those stats don’t get you into Wharton, and especially not a competitive program like M&T. Note how I said “but you go to the baldwin school and all ivys love that so you’re 100% in.” I did not embarrass myself at all. You asked for “hope” and I gave you an accurate chance (albeit 5 years late).

Actually went to Baldwin on scholarship too. Don’t think I’ll comment on this again. Thanks, Alec Ren. Good luck this year getting into Penn.
