Upenn - What are my chances?

<p>hey i'm a junior in a B rank high school. What are my chances of getting into upenn early decision and what can i do to improve those chances? My major will probably be business, graphic design, or some computer thing.</p>

<p>Race: Asian American
Gender: Male
In same state as college</p>

<p>SAT 1: 2070 with
Math 750
Reading 650
Writing 670
Psat 210 (i dont know if im a semifinalist or anything though, but shouldnt i have gotten a letter about it by now?)
SAT 2:
Chem 520 (bad teacher)</p>

<p>GPA - 4.02 weighted
Rank 35 out of 560
Since soph year, ive taken mostly APs and honors courses:
AP Chem (got a 1, hope not to send it in) (83 avg)
AP USH (92 avg)
AP Lang and Comp (86 avg)
AP Physics (90 avg)
in addition to about 5-8 honors (90-95 avg)
going to take Calc BC next year. I have three years of my language and going for a fourth one (AP).</p>

<p>EC:
Chess Club 3 years, soon to be 4
Earth Club 3 years, soon to be 4
Board Games club 1 year, soon to be 2
Video Games Club 2 years, stopped after Soph</p>

<p>Comm Serv: total around 160 soon to be 210 + in senior year
90 hours local library
20-30 hours at school library
10-20 hours at walks/events
20 or so hours at tutoring</p>

<p>Honors/ Awards:
Honor roll soph and junior and probably senior (1 C in language in freshmen year)
Perfect attendance from 7th grade until 11th grade, probably 12th as well</p>

<p>During summer: sat prep class in summer of sophmore year
no notable leadership/ award/ work, though i did work at my parent's restaurant in my freshmen and sophmore years, and i may get into national honor society. I am currently applying to a variety of summer programs in the hope of boosting my application.</p>

Perfect attendence is not important
Your SAT is low, maybe 2200+?
Your GPA is low? what is it unweighted?</p>

<p>Do you have any leadership roles in your ECs?</p>

<p>Ok, what if i didnt want Wharton and just wanted to get into Upenn?
Also how about Cornell?</p>

<p>We never get unweighted GPAs, only weighted ones. Is there a way to calculate it?</p>

<p>sorry but I think Cornell is gona be a bit of a stretch, u need a better GPA,SAT score,Ap’s and EC’s :frowning: </p>

<p>this doesent mean you wont get accepted, just work hard and hopefully youll get accepted into your dream school :)</p>

<p>btw i got my NMSQT 50k letter and im taking subject tests in june and may</p>

<p>Bring the SAT up to 2100 with atleast a 700 on each section.</p>

<p>Take two SAT 2’s. I would suggest Math 2 and any other. DON’T SEND THAT CHEM score btw. It’s terrible. :/</p>
